Starting up the driveway , you can see the corner of the attached garage and my mule sitting in front of it.

On the right, is one of what my granddaughter calls my jungles. The large bush in the foreground is a burning bush and turns a brilliant red in autumn.

Burning bush in autumn, a large sycamore and photo-bomber Doogie!

The tall tree with the dark trunk is a Willow Oak. It was not supposed to be hardy here, but I saw it and liked it so I bought it anyway. It is now about 15 years old and still going strong.

The big bare sycamore on the left was not even there when we built the house 25 years ago. They get huge in a hurry!

More tomorrow.

I must confess to scrolling back up to look for a 4-legged mule, wondering how I had missed it. I also wondered why would it be sitting and not standing.

I wish you could come walk with me in person. It would be so nice if we could tour each others’ gardens for real!!

Wow. Thats a big burner. We have a few but they’re next to the house so we have to keep them trimmed.

This one has never been cut back. It’s out of the way, so I just let it go!
