Pintos and cornbread sound perfect for dinner tonight! We pretty much always have heat and humidity. For us it’s hot or hotter. I hope so far you have had a nice Happy Monday, Vero.
It was rather warm, but a nice breeze all day helped a lot. All in all it has been a good day though. I’m ready to crash! Good night!

I just put sheets in the washer. I might manage to get them to the dryer before time for bed, if mowing the back yard does not finish me off. 😎
I haven’t started mine yet. I normally do my laundry early, but since today is going to be so hot, I decided to work outside while it’s still cool.
It will be hot in the mountains of NC, too.
I think this heat wave has travelled a long way across the country. Hope it keeps right on going out to sea! lol
You got the week well in hand. We’re doing the same thing. Well not the dinner, but the cleaning.

Extremely hot here but a strong breeze, so it’s bearable outside as long as you stay in the shade. We might get some rain on Wednesday. Stay cool and safe!!

My goodness you are energetic! Send some of that my way! We are in the same weather pattern but Wednesday will also be 90s for us before dipping down to 70. Not complaining but sure would like more rain. I’m going to water the locust trees that got nipped by the late hard frost today.
Awww I’m so sorry about your trees Kate. I hate seeing things get bit after they have just worked so hard at coming out and greeting the world.
My energy comes and goes, but mostly gets me through a long day with most everything that I set out to do accomplished.
Hope you get your rain. We got half an inch from the last one but could use a lot more.
I watered and did a check. My lilacs were not flourishing like they do. A close inspection showed that the buds also got hit by the late frost. They have such a short season and now it’s down to about 3 blooms for this year. 🙁
My lilac buds got killed too. I hated that. A few years back they were lovely, and I could even cut bouquets to bring in.
