That’s just about what will get done today…manage!

Just as I was getting all ready to retire last night, and feeling all drowsy and comfy, I heard a tremendous crashing sound!

A storm was barreling through with lots of lightning and thunder, but this wasn’t just the normal sound of a thunder boomer. Also the bright flashes weren’t normal lightning!

It seems a dead tree on the hillside across the road from my house decided it was time and fell, taking down our power line and blowing a transformer.

The power company was notified immediately, but as of almost eight o’clock this morning (Monday) they still haven’t shown up. I’m sure there are many other problems from the storm and ours will be near the bottom of the list since only about a dozen families are affected by the outage.

That noisy generator is rumbling it’s little heart out and I am thankful for every rumble!♥

I’m jealous. I would love to have a Gneraac NG generator. When I win the lottery…lol.

Morning, Vero. Sorry to hear about your power going out. I hope they have it back up and running soon. When you get the new generator it will be nice when you need it to be able to run your AC. Hugs

I already have the generator. (I just couldn’t find a recent picture of it when I made that post). It is running the ac just fine. I am really thankful. I feel so sorry for those who have to go for days without power. I have been where they are. We went ten days once without power.

Oh, that is good. I have been where they are too, many times over the years. I pray they have power again very soon. This is my 10th day of triple digit temp and triple digit heat index. They say we should be back to the 90’s soon. I sure hope they are right.

I hate it when the power goes out. I hope they get it fixed soon.

Your new generator is going to be so very nice.

Have a fabulous day and week. ♥

I should not have used that older picture in my post. I do have the generator and it is doing a fine job. I am so thankful.

The new generator looks really good, and powerful too.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Yes, it is a lot larger than our old one.

Thank goodness for the generator. Hope everything is going to be ok.

I hope so too Tracie. I’ve had about enough of these storms!

Yeah we only had the one, but you have had more than enough. Kind of crazy in your parts right?

        1. Vero Avatar

Yes. Very crazy. It’s raining right now! Not hard but just enough to be annoying.

My husband always sputters about getting a generator. Are they terribly noisy?

    1. Vero Avatar

Yes they are pretty loud. Some people house them and insulate to cut down on the noise. We just put up with it. Our new one sounds a lot better than the old one did. This one kinda “purrs” instead of “screeches”!

What good planning ahead! We keep talking about getting a generator. Storms take down lines in this area fairly frequently.

    1. Vero Avatar

I would sure hate to be without one!

Hope they get the situation resolved soon!

Can’t wait for fall and cooler drier air!!

You are lucky to have a generator. Long outages can lose a lot of food.

    1. Vero Avatar

Yes that can happen. I am always prepared to can things up quickly if it becomes necessary.
