Someone asked, “Will we get to see inside?”

I do have lots of pictures of the inside of the house. I designed every room to be uniquely me. (With Hubby’s full support of course) He just wanted neat, clean and comfy.

The house was intended to have a formal living room, which I found totally useless, so I turned it into a library…something I had always longed for. It also houses one of my main computers and a large wall-mounted tv (which rarely ever gets used).

Computer desk.
Older computer. I now use an “All in one”.
Family room with wood-burning fireplace!

Great to have an open fire, (we have a wood-burning stove) and the library must be a joy!
    Best wishes, Pete.

Love a good fire any time of the year!

I love books, and I want to read a paper book, preferably hard cover! It has always been a pleasurable thing to me to read and savor a book.

I had a hard time switching over to digital reading. I love to read in bed and having a lighted tablet made it possible to do so without bothering hubby by having a table light on.Now I like it better than a real book.

And that’s how it should be!

          Thank you for that! ♥

Vero, you have a gift for making things look beautiful. I use all-in one computers too. I have had really good service out them and they don’t take up so much space.

Thank you so much!!! OOh I’m happy to hear you have an all in one also! I love mine. I have two…one in the library and another smaller one up here where I spend most of my time. Hubby had to resort to sleeping in a recliner because of his back so I inherited the Master Suite. His man cave is in the basement. I have my area all decorated up like I want now, including a computer. I would have brought the big one up, but my desk space is too small for it.
      Sorry for the ramble. lol

You did not ramble, I enjoyed every word. My Hubby always watched to large TV so I had a small one in my room for when I cared to watch. Now I watch the big one. 😊After he developed Dementia he had the same John Wayne movies playing day and night over and over. He slept in his recliner for many years before he passed. He had sleep apnea and slept better sitting up. Now that I am alone I have everything just as I want it. It is great and I enjoy it so much. The first time in my life to ever be alone.

I miss my library. We gave away most of our books when we went full time RVing. Now, my library fits in my back pocket.

Awwwww! But in a way, you are fortunate. Neither I or anyone else will probably ever use all these books, but I can’t bear to get rid of them, I would love to pare down to bare basics and leave all the clutter behind.

It was incredibly hard to get rid of our books. I did keep all of the cookbooks I use in storage. I also stored some of my favorite books and books Bruce inherited from his grandfather. I put together two rotating bookshelves and filled them up with the books. I have just a little space left in one shelve.

    I love your library.

I feel so blessed to have it. A few people have given me old books that they didn’t have room for in their houses.

Most of it is…yes. Even after 20+ years, a few things aren’t finished.

I love a wall full of books.

Me too. It was so nice to finally have a place to put them all.
