I sat down with my first cup of coffee this morning and saw an eagle fly by!!! Down only around 200 feet off the ground and heading east like a bird with a purpose!!
No doubt about the identity…the head and neck glowed brightly, lit by the sun that was just coming up.
That’s a rare sighting here and the only one I have ever seen so close. Most are high overhead.
Wish I had a picture, but it happened in seconds so no chance of capturing it.
Exciting to have seen an Eagle. We only have them in Scotland, and though I have been there more than a few times, I never saw one flying up there.

They’re so beautiful. We’re lucky and see them almost everyday here as we live by a large river… but the sight never gets old.
They are really rare here in my part of the state. They mostly live in the higher mountains.
