I may have posted this one before. If I have, I’m sure WP will let me know.

My older brother moved to Florida after retirement, and lived out his life enjoying life at the seaside.

A few years ago, I wrote this poem for him. The artwork was done on my first computer. Such a thrill to be able to draw and create!

    That’s wonderful nostalgia, Vero. I lived the first 8 years of my life in London in a house with an ‘outside toilet’, so I can relate to it. I mainly remember the big spiders in there, and the squares of cut-up newspaper.

      OOH how I was scared on those spiders that I just knew were lurking underneath the seat, waiting to bite me.

    Very sweet. I remember those. My uncle had one on his farm. When there was a picnic, that was what we used although I’m sure Montgomery Ward wasn’t there.

      Everyone had one here back in those days and only the wealthy could afford real toilet paper.
