Sanseveria (commonly known as snake plant or mother in law’s tongue) is a very popular house plant. I think this is probably because it is almost impossible to kill. (At least it is, in my world) I am an avid gardener, but tend to neglect house plants terribly.
I have this huge plant that my daughter gave me years ago, and recently it has bloomed…not once…but twice!!
A google search told me that it usually only blooms if it is extremely pot bound or dry from lack of water. (Both of those reasons definitely apply!)

The flowers are lacy and dainty, a sharp contrast to the broad, tough, spikey leaves.
