HELP!!

I have this funny looking growth in the back of one of my flower beds, and I have no clue whatsoever as to what I planted there.

It looks like a giant version of the little bulblets that grow on Tiger Lilies! The larger ones are over an inch across.

I hope someone will recognize it and respond.

    I would have said eggplant too, lol. I don’t know anything else that’s purple, but then, I’m not much of a Gardner unfortunately.

    There is an app called PlantSnap. You take a pic of the plant (or the beginnings of one) and it will tell you what it is!

      I (and several of my friends) have tried some of those apps with no positive results so far. Some of them insist it’s buckeyes! Hahaha!

      I think I’ll just wait to see what they turn into. They seem to be very hardy, and should reveal themselves soon.

    Magnolia buds? Are they corms or bulbs? Almost look like chestnuts. Weird!

      I have no idea what to call them. They came through the ground that way. The cold and snow didn’t seem to bother them.
