HELP!!

I have this funny looking growth in the back of one of my flower beds, and I have no clue whatsoever as to what I planted there.

It looks like a giant version of the little bulblets that grow on Tiger Lilies! The larger ones are over an inch across.

I hope someone will recognize it and respond.

      I think I’ll just wait to see what they turn into. They seem to be very hardy, and should reveal themselves soon.

    Magnolia buds? Are they corms or bulbs? Almost look like chestnuts. Weird!

      I have no idea what to call them. They came through the ground that way. The cold and snow didn’t seem to bother them.
