Back to that “graphics in comments” thing: remember eons ago when if you wanted to post a picture it had to be hosted somewhere so that it had a URL.

A uniform resource locator (URL), colloquially known as web address, is a reference to a resource on the World Wide Web. A URL specifies the location of a resource on a computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it.

Word Press is old school and still requires that in places, with comments being one of them, so a picture will copy/paste as long as it already has a URL.

Choose an image block and select “Insert from URL”

I’m not sure where all you can put photos that will give you hosting capabilities. Photobucket is one I remember. I just grabbed one from my library right here on my site. I will try a few other places.
