Does it bug anyone else when your comments on their page have to be approved before they show up?
I could understand if its the first couple of meetings, but when things have been shared for quite a while, it seems a little redundant.
I have noticed that sometimes the comment never shows up at all, but wanders off into the wilds!
I have comments set to be approved before posting. So far I have not had a problem with it. I am sorry your comments do not show up on my site until I approve them. Sometimes there are comments in the spam folder. I check and if they are not spam I click ‘not spam’ and then approve the comment.
I do not use my phone for WP and sometimes only check my blog once a day on the computer. If someone leaves a comment before I check, it will go to my pending folder and I will approve and reply when I get back on WP.
I do not want sexual or some other subjects in comments on my blog from people that like to post those kind of comments. There are some following my blog that I would rather didn’t, but I would feel bad if I blocked them so that is another reason for the comment approval before they post.

I had a big problem with this. SO many of my comments ended up in “pending” or spam. I had to go back to the approval process so that I didn’t miss anything. I was so embarrassed that I was missing people’s comments and not responding. You’ll find that I am chatty (sorry not sorry lol) and would never not respond.
I know what you mean. I try my best to respond to every comment anyone leaves for me, but sometimes they just poof!

I have recently been losing lots of comments on my blog, disappearing into the bowels of WordPress never to be seen again. I only know because my blogging friends informed me that their comments failed to appear.

Same here. On my main page the comments disappear nightly. I really would like them to stay around for a while.
