I want to play around with my site and decorate it for Halloween, but I’m afraid I’ll mess up something and not be able to fix it. (We’ve all commiserated about this before) I use blocks, so I am just going to shove the current blocks down low on the page and add my Spooky stuff at the top. Then when Halloween is over I can delete the blocks and bring everything back up into place. Y’all could do this too and we could all go trick or treating at sites!!!! 😄😄😄😄😄

I love this idea, Vero, but I’m terrified to monkey around with mine. Honestly, I’m tired of its appearance but I just know the moment I start fiddling around, the site will refuse to dance. There I’ll be with my face hanging out wondering what went wrong!

LOLOL I feel exactly the same way. That’s why I came up with the idea of keeping the original blocks and just sliding them down the page. ( think I can safely do that.) Supposedly there are templates saved, but I’m afraid to trust that.

I wish we could still do like we did on Multiply….it was really fun. I have to do the most simple thing on WordPress most of it is way too complicated for me. I use blocks too.

Word Press is really hard to learn. I have worked on a lot of sites and this is the most difficult one yet. Plus they are working on things and just when I learn something….they change it! I love a challenge though so all is good!! The best way to learn is just be there…. spend as much time as you can poking around here and there.

I have been on other sites too and none were difficult. I agree WordPress is. They change things a lot. This winter I will try to see what all I can figure out on here. I always enjoyed making graphics and designing pages on other sites.

Unfortunately I blog from my phone and use an app that goes straight to the reader. I don’t even see anyone’s full page anymore, just the individual posts.

I do as well, but it’s so much more convenient and quick than the computer. I haven’t changed my actual page in years…

I can understand that when you are using a phone which is what so many are doing now days. I have a phone but rarely use it. It’s my camera, but otherwise just sits there.

And I’ve pretty much given up my computer.
I can do everything from my phone, quicker… and from anywhere.
Though I admit there are times I miss a bigger screen.-
I love working with graphics and photos and spend most of my time doing that, so the large screen is really important. We still don’t have reliable phone service in my area so my landline is still needed. I do like the phone for taking pictures though and never use my camera any more.

For years we didn’t have high speed internet at our house so the phones became a faster option. I’ve only been able to stream comfortably for the past year.

That would sure make a lot of difference! Internet here has been iffy too but now it is great. I got Starlink about two years ago and it is perfect. NEVER goes off no matter what happens and is super fast!

It took us 23 years, but we finally hooked into Fidium last year. No problems yet.

Internet when you live rural has been iffy all along! These hills block signals. Everything now is moving skyward so things are looking up (literally)!😄😝

We used to blog hop on Multiply and visit each other’s pages. It was sooo much fun. We learned a bit of coding and left little surprises on the guest books, like a song that played automatically and the site owner had no idea how to turn it off! lol
