What do y’all think of the comment box on my blog page? Is it too hard to use? Should I leave it or put the old standard one back? I’m having fun just playing around with it.

I rather like your comment box, Vero. Easy to use, especially with the big font telling us what to do. I think I’ll try to figure out how to use something like this on my own blog. Maybe, just maybe, it might inspire people to comment. They certainly aren’t doing it now, by and large.

I’m excited to see you say that Jim. Decorating the pages is the part I like best. I was on Multiply (and other sites) for years and the pages were the best part. The ones who knew how, put all sorts of things on their pages. Just reading stuff gets boring in a hurry and people just tune it out. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I will certainly visit your page and participate in every way that I can.

Now that you have put instructions out on how to get to the comment form I have no problem. I had to go to the reader before to comment because my comments were showing up under other people’s comments. I like it now that I know how to add a comment. Your page is so colorful and nice. Love it! Hugs

Thank you so much Maggie!! Designing and decorating the pages has always been my main interest on social sites. I like learning all the features and seeing what I can do with them. It’s just a hobby with me.
At one time I knew a lot of coding and could almost make a complete web site from scratch, but I got away from it , and now lots of the code that once worked is obsolete and I have forgotten the rest of it!! lol

I make comments in Reader.

Thank you Anne. I mostly use Reader too. Reader is not open to anyone who doesn’t have an account so I like to use my page for things that I want my friends on other sites to see. I’m trying to coax them to leave comments and a couple of them have, but most are just scared of unfamiliar territory. It’s hard to get them to even read anything, let alone comment.

If you want people to find the comment form easily, make the font larger. It is too small to see easily on a phone. So many people use their phones these days for browsing.

I’ve found that turning your phone horizontally makes it easier to scroll through social sites. You can also enlarge sections so that you can see them better.

I blog from my phone straight to the WordPress reader so I don’t even access your actual page.

I know that’s what most everyone here does, but I share my posts with friends who don’t have WP sites and they can’t see the Reader. My site is public and If I share a link, anyone can see it.
