I wrote this post back in 2007, but for some odd reason it is foremost in my mind today, so I went searching for a copy that I had saved.

_______
Lingering traces of a migraine, and feelings of restlessness and an unnamed something, drove me to abandon chat this morning earlier than what is usual for me, and seek the solitude of softly falling raindrops.
Attempts to describe a summer walk in the rain seem to be futile.
“It’s Sunday Morning! I need to be getting ready for church. I feel terrible, so it wouldn’t be inexcusable if I just stayed home. Besides, isn’t God present here also?” Somehow He seems very close as I walk along, listening to the patter on my umbrella.
At this point, I will make a long story short and readable, and leave out multiple insignificant details.
During the service, I was richly rewarded when a little autistic eight year old boy stood up and sang with perfect pitch,
“Lord Prepare Me To Be a Sanctuary”
The whole congregation was in tears!
What a Blessing!
