He had a very smooth pleasant voice. He was one of my mother’s favorite singers.

He was definitely my favorite country singer!! I had (still have) all his albums.

My dad worked as a sales manager in the record business from 1957-1976. He also sang in pubs around South London. One of his favourites was a Jim Reeves song, ‘He’ll Have To Go”, and I remember him playing the record repeatedly to learn the words so he could sing them.
