Marigold “Janie” orange from Park’s Seed.
Six short weeks ago, this little fellow was a tiny seed in a paper packet. Now we are just waiting for all the frosts to go away so we can go out and beautify a flower bed.

Ha! I was going to ask, “Is that a marigold?” and then I read the caption on the pic. LOLOL

Watching plants go is always rewarding. They grow faster than humans so there is more instant gratification going on! 🙂

Thank you Julia. Marigolds are about the easiest flower to grow and give you so much pleasure for so little effort. I rarely ever grow any of the larger taller ones, but prefer the short stocky ones for the front of my beds and in my porch boxes.

Thank you for the kind words!!! I give the plants most of the credit. I just poke them in the ground and stand back!😅😅

Good job, Vero! In a previous life I had a little greenhouse and started soo many seeds. It was fun! These days I don’t have any place to do that so I have to wait until after frost and plant them in the ground. I was able to get out and work for an hour in my flower beds, getting things cleaned up and ready. I’m so excited!

Thank you Jean. Yes, it is so rewarding watching them grow. It’s my favorite part of the year. I’m glad you had this nice weather too and got some cleanup done. I’m looking forward to seeing some pictures of your flowers. I actually had to go inside a couple of times today to cool off.

With my back issues I can only work an hour or so at a time and then I quit for the day or I will pay dearly the next day, lol. But I got a lot of debris and weeds cleaned up today and I was so pleased to see my hostas, lilies, and coneflowers starting up. I didn’t feel very well most of last summer so I am looking forward to doing a better job with my flowers this year 🙂

I think flowers and vegetables do the best magic trick of all – the tiny seeds know just what to do to turn into something beautiful
