Iris will be the next big show in the flower garden. This year looks promising. Several are going to bloom that I haven’t seen in a while. I have moved a lot of them and don’t really know what color went where, so there will be some nice surprises.

Thank you so much for sharing, Vero! Your irises are beautiful! A nice bed of irises is such a treat.
For some reason bearded irises will not grow in the townhome gardens, which is a bummer. Siberian irises, yes, but not bearded. But I made a nice big bed of bearded irises at the historic cemetery, and they are thriving in that environment.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of yours 🙂

Thank you Susan. I think the bearded iris are just really picky about where they grow. I have a couple of places where they are doing great. I’m still experimenting.

Iris are stunning when they bloom but a bit of a mess the rest of the year. I dug mind up years ago so shall enjoy vicariously through yours…

I’ve been threatening to dig mine as well. I’m still hopeful of finding a place where they do well and bloom as they should. My neighbor a mile down the road has beautiful ones that are full of bloom every year.

Irises are so beautiful! The leaves add year long interest to the garden. The flowers come in so many shades.
