WEATHER

The big nor-easter blizzard is the top interest story this morning! Here in WV we had light snow all night and it is still coming down. Not much accumulation though…maybe a couple of inches.

WILDLIFE

Snakes get a lot of attention out here in the hills. I have several good photos that each represent a different experience.

There he was!!! Trussed up tighter than a Thanksgiving turkey! The netting was a covering for my strawberry bed and I guess he thought it would be a good place to hide and wait for dinner to come along.

I carefully snipped him free and sent him on his way.

Was he grateful??
No, the little sucker even tried to attack me!

Hrrrrumph!!!

I had to go into the office today, which is rare for me! We got a few inches overnight but it was easy to clean off the car. It kept snowing off and on during the day but didn’t accumulate on the car so when I went for lunch and to go home it wasn’t bad.

I don’t mind snakes but then I do my best to avoid them! Especially if I can’t readily identify between “friend” and “foe”, ie. non vs. venemous. Still, that was rude of the slithering dude. 😉

😂😂😂We only have one poisonous snake in my area and it is very easy to spot and identify. We do try our best to kill any of them that we see.
The others startle me a bit when I see one, but I really don’t mind them being around.

Yikes! You’re braver than I am, Vero. Not a fan of snakes. Take good care, Vero, and watch out for those slithering critters.

I give them plenty of space. LOL They do startle me but I am not really afraid of them. I have had some interesting experiences with them,

Great photos of the snake, Vero. Sorry he wasn’t grateful that you cut him loose. 🙂 No snow here just colder than it has been for a few days.

Thank you Maggie! I guess he was pretty upset so I forgave him. ♥

We had flurries off and on all day yesterday, was quite slick when I got out of work last night. Flurries again today but I hope they won’t amount to much. I’m ready for birds and flowers 🙂 And I must say, the snakes are not my favorites of all your pics, Vero, lol.

Schools around here are all cancelled today.

Trussed up critters are rarely grateful. Had it not been for you, he wouldn’t have been in that position!

Common black snake. They average around four feet most of the time. Some are a bit larger,
