I have a flowering crab apple tree outside the window of my little puzzle nook, that seems to be a favorite nesting spot for a variety of birds.

This post is not all about glamorous pictures, but rather about life with all its twists and turns.

The small cluster of brown, was once a well-built nest, and home to four little eggs that evolved into four hungry babies!

Life swiftly passes, and the once-tidy nest fell into desolation, becoming barely recognizable.

Until yesterday!

Times are hard these days, and most of the country seems to be in a unusually conservative mood.

This unseasonably warm weather has the birds raising eyebrows and wondering if they should be thinking about making preparations for the next generation.

Yesterday, a tiny Chickadee fluttered around, picking at the straggly clump, and I could see her little mind clicking away, wondering if there were any way possible it could be recycled.

“Hmmmm, now if we took this little twig and moved it up a bit, maybe add a bit of moss here and another leaf or two, by golly I do think we could make it work!!”

Good luck Mama and Happy Nesting!
