I spent a bit of four mornings weeding in the garden. That’s not such a bad job when it’s cool.

I’m starting the long seemingly endless chore of cutting back the spent foliage on my day lily bed. I have six clumps done out of 60+. I fear it will take the rest of the summer! LOL Weeds are huge and trying to take over.

I didn’t know you are supposed to cut back day lilies. Mine have survived 11 years, and they didn’t tell me they were unhappy.

You don’t have to cut them back at all. In fact some will tell you not to, but I like to tidy up the beds after most of the foliage has started turning yellow.

I was out walking this morning when it was 50° outside. A few days ago it was 48 degrees!!

Isn’t this weather wonderful!! Sorry for not being around much but it’s so nice out I’m trying to get as much done as possible before it gets hot again.

Good morning, Vero. I have had my first and several more sips of coffee. It is 79 degrees here, much cooler than our typical temperature for this time of year so I am enjoying it. Have a wonderful day, hugs.

Still cool and cloudy here! I’ll take a 70 morning on Labor Day weekend which is typically one of the hottest weekends of the year. And yes. Coffee. MmmMmmm good! ☕☕☕
