“MEET AND GREET”
Ok. Here goes nothing!
When I first started blogging I hated the word “blog”. I thought it sounded downright vulgar. But it kinda grew on me over the years and now is a permanent part of my vocabulary.
I have been involved in the cyber world in one form or another since 2004 . My first computer was a Whopper!!! Weighed so much I had to reinforce the desk…. (well not really, but you get the picture)
Internet was all by long-distance which cost an arm and a leg. But I signed up anyway and ran up a $10.00 bill in about half an hour before shaking my head sadly and calling to cancel the account.
Chat was RAUNCHY!!! My poor innocent eyes just couldn’t believe people actually talked that way. (I copied and printed out a page just for my records, before canceling my internet.)
Time went by and things changed and I was once more able to connect via satellite internet…… super fast and tons of stuff to get involved with.
In the beginning I described myself as a barefoot country girl, but after stepping on a few chestnut burs and honey bees I now wear shoes.
I do live in the country, on a 52 acre farm, 30 miles from the nearest small town. Life here isn’t what it once was but it is wonderful compared to the hectic city existence.
I am married with 4 children a senile cat and three mutty dogs which I love dearly.
My sidekick is my granddaughter Gina. We are in our fourth year of home-schooling now (sixth grade) and both of us love it. We made the choice for several reasons…one of them being health issues from strep throat every two months all during the school year.
I seldom write long blogs because I tend to become too long-winded when I do, so I will stop for now.
