You are sure making me want some lilies like those. They are the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.

Happy to be an inspiration Mags. They are easy to grow and come in so so many different patterns and colors. Once you get started, you will be hooked.

My dad had gorgeous irises….maybe I have a little of his ability in my genes. I sure hope so. I am sure I will be hooked if I can get them to grow.

I meant lilies, I have no idea where irises came from. Too early in the morning. LOL

Well, at least you have something to write about. I have the time but nothing to write about. LOL

All beautiful! I can’t grow them as we have deer who just love to eat day lilies.

Thank you Kate. I know what you mean. I have friends who say the same thing. My solution is to have outside dogs that run loose. I live on a farm way out in the boonies so my dogs are safe and happy.

Dogs work! At our last house we ended up fencing in a portion of the yard and that’s where I planted beloved plants that the deer loved. Oh yes and my pond was in there area too. We had a nightly visitor to that. She would tumble pots and eat the water lilies. What a muddy mess and I feared she would tear the lining. That’s really why we fenced.

Sounds like a great plan. I’m seriously thinking of fencing my whole yard for some added protection. I know the deer could jump the fence, but they would be more likely to walk around it.

They didn’t jump ours (it was 6′ which technically they could jump). We had shrubs all around so they couldn’t see what was on the other side (The front part were posts and the back was black chainlink, all see through). We were assured that they wouldn’t jump if they couldn’t see where to land and that held true in our case.

I have heard that about them. I’ll have to work out something similar.
