Do any of you “mature” posters recognize this poetic verse? I would love to have the rest of the poem and can’t find it anywhere. It was a poem about a mail plane that was in one of my older brother’s schoolbooks.

It was in an Elson-Gray seventh or eighth grade reading book. I have the book but can’t find it. I’ll post the rest of the poem if I ever find the book.

“Every night about half past eight
When the stars are out and it’s very late
And the moon is dim in the western sky
I watch to see the mail go by.I can hear it whirring over the hill
When the sun has set and the winds are still.” -
